I've been teaching since 1999. I was fortunate enough to get to do my student teaching experience at Marist under the guidance of the legend, Kathy Yocum. At the end of that year when she moved to Florida, I happily accepted her job in the English Department and taught at Marist for three more years. When Mrs. Yocum moved back to Eugene, I handed "our" job back over to her and went to teach for eight years at Thurston High School, my alma mater. When Kathy retired, she passed the baton back to me, and I am thrilled to be at Marist again.
This time around, I am also the parent of a Marist student. My family and I are looking forward to being a part of the wonderful Marist community.
