Director of Counseling;
NCAA Eligibility Advisor
I have been a school counselor since 2005, and at Marist since 2011. My wife, who teaches at Marist, grew up in Eugene, which is what brought us to this area from Santa Barbara, California, after the birth of our first child. We now have two boys.
One thing I love about Marist is the chance to get to know the students in my caseload. It’s a bit of a whirlwind once they’re in my caseload at the start of senior year, but by the spring, I feel very invested in their future plans and interests, and the process they've gone through to get there. I am always excited for whatever opportunities await them upon graduation.
I grew up in northern California, but attended the University of Oregon for a year, before heading back to California and graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Communication. After several years in the business and non-profit world, I returned to school and received a Masters in Education, and my Counseling Credential, at Azusa Pacific University.
