Credit recovery may be needed if a student has received a grade of “D” or “F” at any point. Credit recovery action is required for graduation and/or college admission purposes. If your student has received a “D” or “F” in the past or on the June grade report, please consult the Credit Recovery Options below
Credit Recovery Options
A grade of “F” may put your student in jeopardy for graduation or eligibility to return to Marist. A class may need to be taken in order to satisfy that credit. While a “D” may be allowed for graduation purposes, the reality is that 4-year universities view “D” and “F” as not passing. Additionally, unless it is made up, a grade of “D” in Math may prevent a student from advancing in that subject at Marist.
Credit recovery work done by a student does not replace a grade already on a transcript. Rather, an additional grade will be transcripted, hopefully showing a higher grade than the previous one in a specific course. Credit recovery options recognized and accepted by Marist Catholic High School include the following:
