Tuition vs. Actual Costs
If you divide the number of students (495) we currently have into the bottom line expense budget number, ($4,753,490) the actual cost of educating each student is $9,701. Since we charge only $7,479 there is substantial income that we must create to balance budget our budget. It is precisely due to this difference that we must fundraise and ask for your help in participating in the TUITION INITIATIVE PROGRAM.

The purpose of the program is for the Principal to enrich and expand programs for Marist students and to remain on the cutting edge in meeting new and diverse academic challenges. Your gift enables the principal to actively pursue the important mission of building strong character, academic excellence, leadership skills and positive spiritual and moral values.

Your tax deductible gift above the stated cost of tuition allows the principal to devote funds to the most needed aspects of Marist Catholic High School. It recognizes those individuals, businesses, foundations and organizations which have a special friendship and relationship with Marist and who desire to help the Principal make major improvements in the lives of each student!

This INITIATIVE is designed to inform parents of the “GAP” between real cost and tuition charged, explain the reason for not charging full or real cost, and to make a Marist education available to as many people as possible.

MISSION DRIVEN...
We are mission rather than financially driven. This means that we choose to start the school year with a tuition funded deficit so that all qualified students have an opportunity of admission. We know that our mission and additional hard work with fundraising will lead us to a balanced budget. We also recognize that our community is resourceful and when asked can help provide the necessary resources, funding, volunteerism, or time to keep Marist a healthy vibrant school. This mission allow us to reach out to those in most need.
