While I was born in Columbus, Ohio, I have lived in Eugene for most of my life. Upon graduation from the University of Oregon, I began working at Marist in 1975. In 1981, I then took a position teaching mathematics at West Albany High School where I remained until I retired in 2009. (During the 2000-2001 school year, I taught at Mount Grace Secondary School in Potters Bar, England on a Fulbright Exchange.)
After a year and a half of travelling and recuperating, I returned to teach Calculus and Honors Algebra at Marist. Education:
