As
a Marist Catholic High School student, you are automatically
provided with a personal computer account giving access to any
student-networked computer on campus. A couple of important points for you to keep in mind:

It is your responsibility to keep your password secret. You may change your password anytime you want, but do not give out your password to anyone.

You may set up your
own personal desktop, following the Marist High School Computer Acceptable Use Policy.

The Marist
Catholic High School Administration, Network Administrator, and
the Network Assistant retain the right to access your account,
your desktop and your local "My Documents" folders and network
folders at any time.

Failure to work within Marist's Acceptable Use Policy will result in a referral and/or suspension of your computer account.

Use
of a computer account other your own will result in a Referral
along with account deactivation.
Marist Catholic High School Computer Acceptable Use Policy
The Marist computer network is for academic use only. Use of these computers is a privilege and logging on to any computer system indicates your agreement to abide with this and all applicable school policies. Acceptable Uses: Internet research for specific class work. Creation and printing of class work. Search the Marist library online catalog.
Checking email.
Unacceptable Uses: Games or any game-related
websites; MySpace, FaceBook, etc.; pornographic Internet sites. Instant messaging. Non-class related Web surfing (ESPN, eBay, AutoTrader.com, etc.).
