I love languages and working with students, so it's hard to imagine a more enjoyable job than teaching Spanish here at Marist. I grew up in Fallon, Nevada and then became a Duck at the UO for my undergraduate work. As a Spanish major, I studied abroad in Querétaro, Mexico and Seville, Spain, and later I lived in Santiago, Chile for one year where I taught English as a Foreign Language. Prior to coming to Marist, I student-taught in Santa Barbara and then taught for two years in Pasadena, California.
My husband (a Creswell native) and I have always loved the northwest, so we were excited to move back to Eugene when he got a position working at the UO. This will be my second year here at Marist, and I count myself lucky to work with such great students and colleagues. In my free time (i.e. the summer, it seems), I enjoy reading, attempting to grow a pathetic little vegetable garden, and spending time outdoors.
Education:
