Assistant Advancement Director
I began working for the Marist Foundation, spring of 2009, during the reorganization and transfer of fundraising and development efforts over to Marist Catholic High School. Having served as a Foundation Board member since 2007, I agreed to part-time work, under the direction of the Board, to ensure the smooth transition and continued administration of the Endowment and Scholarship accounts held by the Foundation. Subsequently, I began working part time on special projects for the Development Department at Marist in July of 2011 and currently hold the position of Assistant Advancement Director. Prior to Marist, I worked for a local jewelry manufacturing company in marketing, sales and management. Inspired by that experience I started my own private retail diamond and jewelry business, Diamond Ridge Fine Jewelry, in 2008. Previously, I worked in trade show and conference management as a Group Show Director for Advanstar Communications in the pharmaceutical and telecommunications groups, domestically here in Eugene and internationally in the UK.
I graduated from Sutherlin High School, a member of the Sky-Em League that included Marist in those days. We had plenty of spirited contests with the Marist Spartans and I was struck by the quality of the students and the atmosphere of community surrounding the school. I was profoundly touched when the Track coach asked if I would join them in prayer before a track meet. That has stayed with me to this day. In 1986, after graduating from Oregon State University, I moved to Eugene and met my husband, John, at St. Thomas More Newman Center. We have two sons, Carson a 2011 Marist graduate and 2015 graduate of Gonzaga University; and Jack, a 2015 Marist graduate. We are parishioners at St. Thomas More Newman Center.
