Scholarships
The scholarship application period for Fall 2018 has ended. The application process will open again January 1, 2019. Please note that new families may still apply for the Equal Access Tuition program. Please contact Reba Stephens at (541) 485-7879 or rstephens@marisths.org if you would like to apply.
Dear Students & Parents: With great pleasure, the Marist Foundation scholarship committee will award more than 75 scholarships (ranging from $500 to $2,500) to deserving Marist students for the 2018-19 academic year. Scholarships assist students with the opportunity to receive an exceptional Catholic education at Marist and have been endowed by faithful supporters who generously endorse our mission of excellence. To apply for scholarship consideration, students must complete the online scholarship application using the link below. By completing the application, a student will be considered for all available scholarships as we do not require a separate application for each scholarship. The committee will look at the criteria for each scholarship in determining the recipient. Students should take appropriate time and consideration in preparing their application for the committee. We suggest a review of the list of scholarships (below) to gain an understanding of the type of information that should be provided on the application. To help make the process go smoothly, please read the Sample Application/Helpful Hints information (below). The deadline for submitting a scholarship application is March 5, 2018, at MIDNIGHT. It’s important to note that Foundation scholarships are not the same as the Equal Access Tuition Program – which is administered by the school. However, scholarships also require that financial need be established. Therefore, the scholarship application process requires that parents submit a completed FACTS application* in order for the student to be considered for a scholarship award. The FACTS application deadline is February 26, 2018. As a final reminder, students (not parents) fill out the scholarship application since it represents their voice and accomplishments to the scholarship committee. It should be an accurate reflection of the student's commitment to school, community and faith. Parents feel free to review the application for accuracy before your student submits it online. Only applications received by midnight PST on March 5, 2018 will be considered. If you have any questions please contact the school’s Finance Director, Reba Stephens, at (541) 485-7879 or rstephens@marisths.org. Sincerely, Cissy Kast Chair, Marist Foundation Scholarship Committee *Only one FACTS application is required per family. |
