Director of Marist Theatre; Theatre and Digital Film Teacher
I spent 20 years in New York City working as an actor, director, scenic carpenter and cook. Among those years were 8 years as Artistic Director of a small Shakespeare company and 4 years as partner in a Scene shop where we built sets for tours, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
I returned to Eugene with my wife and two children a few years back and have been at Marist since I got a position as a student teacher, which we built into a full time position the following year.
Education:
I spent my first 2 years as a vocal music major at the University of Oregon (which is when I got to know Eugene and met my wife). I then completed my BFA in Acting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas before moving to NYC. I received an MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College, and most recently received my MAT degree with Oregon Teaching certificates in Theatre and English from Western Oregon University. Contact me:
The best way is to contact me through email at trust@marisths.org. I tend to ignore phones as I'm always on the top of a ladder...
