GUIDANCE COUNSELOR /LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
HOURS: 1 FTE with benefits
Marist Catholic High School counselors OR LCSW serve a vital role in the Marist mission by supporting academic, spiritual, social/emotional and personal growth of all students to maximize individual success. Counselors or LCSW provide preventive services, collaborate with all constituents, and develop student’s leadership and self-advocacy skills. Counselors or LCSW respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, personal and social/emotional development for all students.
Distinguished from other counselors in the department, this role also serves to support students struggling with mental health diagnosis.
Reports to the Assistant Principal but may receive work assignments and direction from one or more administrators.
