Athletic Trainer

Position Summary
The position of athletic trainer is 1.0 FTE.  This position is supervised by the Athletic Director and will coordinate with the athletic director to ensure that the athletic treatment facility and all required events are covered. The athletic trainer is expected to uphold Marist’s mission, charism, and philosophy requirements.  The athletic trainer renders service or treatment under the direction of, or in collaboration with a physician and is expected to make decisions based on current Board of Certification (BOC) Standards of Professional Practice and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Code of Ethics.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Board of Certification (BOC) 
Current Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) license.
Hold and maintain first aid certification and Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
