Marist alum (02’), Mrs. (Baird) Reed, lives in a world of literature and writing instruction. After leaving Marist, she went on to the University of Oregon for both a BA and M.Ed degree, in English and Curriculum and Teaching, respectively. Sarah has continued post-graduate work from various state institutions in writing, literacy, and English, currently working towards a second Masters in English from Arizona State University. Sarah holds Oregon Teaching endorsements in English, Social Studies, and ESOL for all grade levels, K-12. She is also trained and certified to teach 100-level writing and English courses through both Lane and Umpqua Community College, as well as provide instruction in both AP Literature and AP Language and Composition. In her spare time, Sarah works on her own assigned essays, works for ETS as an AP Reader and SAT scorer, as well as designs curriculum to sell in the marketplace. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband and two young daughters, exploring the outdoors, watching movies, or attending University of Oregon sporting events.
