Marist High School’s Well Water Screening Program is offering free water testing for local area residents who get their drinking water from private wells. The tests are conducted by science students as part of a hands-on water quality program, with teacher/staff guidance and oversight. The screening is provided free of charge, however an appointment is necessary and can be made by calling the well testing extension at 541-686-2234x1601, or by emailing the Program Coordinator, Ryan Moser at firstname.lastname@example.org. Arrangements will be made to get you a sample kit, which is essential to ensure the accuracy of the tests and gives directions on how to take the sample and where to deliver it. We make every effort to generate reliable results, however, it should be noted that we are not a certified drinking water quality laboratory.
Testing dates for the 2019-20 School Year are: October 29, 2019 February 18, 2020 April 27, 2020 While testing is free of charge, we are asking for a $1.00 deposit when you pick up your kit. Your $1.00 will be refunded when you bring your water sample to the school for testing. This is to offset the cost of the sample bottle for those who take a kit, but do not bring in a sample. Thanks for your understanding!
Appointments are necessary; please make sure you call the water testing office at 541-686-2234x1601 to make an appointment.
