Making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Thank you for considering a QCD to benefit Marist students.
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make direct transfers of up to $100,000 per year from your IRA to Marist or other qualified charities, without having to count the transfers as income for federal tax purposes. Because no tax is incurred on the withdrawal, gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction, but may be counted toward your minimum required distribution. If you choose to make a gift to support Marist using a QCD it is important that you have your account administrator transfer a gift directly to Marist Catholic High School. Please consult your tax advisor.
To direct a gift, send a letter to your IRA administrator with the following information:
Instruct your administrator to make the check payable to Marist Catholic High School and mail to:

In addition, please direct your administrator to share your contact information with Marist so that we may properly record and thank you for your gift.
