Encounter
The Encounter is a three-day retreat for juniors and seniors that takes place at St. Benedict’s Lodge on the McKenzie River. It provides an opportunity to experience a profound encounter of self, others, and God in the light of Christian faith. Through engaging peer talks, journaling, and small and large group conversations and activities, students will retreat from ordinary life to a unique place where they can slow down, take stock, appreciate, heal, and look forward. There is something for everyone on the Encounter, and students all report that you don’t really get Marist until you make your Encounter! The preferred year is junior year, but any senior who has not attended the Encounter is encouraged to join in!
